Week 5

Welcome to Week 5! We had a very busy week last week with our History Box workshop and our Media Studio training with Michael Green, and there is a Slate ready to go at the end of today with some photos for you to enjoy of these events - plus some fabulous samples of work completed by students during the week.

Reminders for Week 5:
- School is closed on Tuesday for the Melbourne Cup public holiday. Enjoy the day off!
- If your child is absent for any reason, please write a brief note in their diary. Even if you have seen me, or if you have sent a message in with a sibling, or if you have rung the office - I photocopy the notes in the diary to keep in our attendance folder so we have complete records for each child.
- Please send your child to school with a named waterbottle, even if you pack a juice box or pop top with their lunch. As the weather heats up, the children need to stay hydrated.
- Please note that homework has gone home for the next six weeks. Students have been asked to finish a double page in their homework book each week with one page being used to log their quick maths, reading and spelling practice, and the other to complete a mini-project from the 12 suggestions provided. It is due on Wednesdays and books will be returned in time for the weekend.
