Map Reading and Co-Ordinates

We have been using these resources to practice the compass rose and co-ordinates in class! Students are welcome to work on this at home as well.

From Wednesday: Feed Billy Bug and Captain Slackbeard's Maps are a good place to start.

From Friday: Plot The Alien is a bit trickier as it uses the four quadrants of the Cartesian Plane.

We have also been doing some great art work using the positive co-ordinate quadrant of the cartesian plane. You should see it! Very impressive.
